Asian Cooking Class: Wok This Way

Join us at The Upstairs Kitchen on May 15th as Chef Debra Queen leads the Asian cooking class,”Wok this Way.”

You’ll add hearty and healthy recipes to your cooking repertoire by learning to cook some of Chef Queen’s favorite Asian Fusion creations.

Wok cooking just got fun — Saifun! We’ll start by putting a new twist on this Far East mung bean noodle staple.

Next we’ll create crispy and delicious Tempura Sesame Crusted Tofu with Deeply Roasted Sesame Stir Fried Tex Mex Asian Veggies. Doesn’t that sound delicious?

We’ll then move on to the steam cuisine:

  • Poached Pears with Port Wine
  • Mandarin Oranges served with Chef Queen’s own Cherry Plum Sauce

    During this class you’ll be learning a variety of wok cooking techniques. You’ll learn how to properly season and care for your wok. And we’ll tell you what to look for when purchasing your own wok.
