Chef Mary is a former cooking School Director of the renown Silo Cooking School in New Milford, Ct. who has taught classes for all ability levels, from ages 5 to 85 and worked with local as well as celebrity chefs such as Jacques Pepin, Sara Moulton and Suvir Saran.
She is a professional chef who particularly enjoys ethnic cuisines, having travelled extensively. She trained at Le Corden Bleu in the UK and Paris; The French Culinary Institute in NYC, The Royal Thai Culinary School in Bang Sean, Thailand; The School For American Chefs at Beringer Vineyards apprenticing under Madeleine Kamman, as well as attaining a BS in Hotel Restaurant Management. She has worn many hats from cooking and managing quick service to 5-star establishments, designing and running her own successful restaurant and catering businesses to being featured on Food Network and appearing regularly on local CT. television. But Mary’s first love is sharing her knowledge teaching a wide array of cooking classes in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
